Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor changes in the regulatory environment, industry trends, and emerging compliance issues to proactively adapt compliance strategies, policies, and processes accordingly.
Support the presentation of periodic and annual reports on the compliance program to executive leadership.
Facilitate compliance reviews on an ongoing review cycle to provide a compliance assessment of program policies, processes, and functions.
Support response to external audits
Develop operating procedures for key processes following best practice models
Craft documentation, guidance, and instructional material in a way that facilitates clear communication, ensuring clarity and inclusivity, across varying cognitive abilities within the intended audience.
Preparing reports and other information in response to internal and regulatory requests
Leading and/or supporting other team projects or ad hoc deliverables as needed
Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, ensuring company-wide compliance


The Ideal Candidate Might Have:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with candidates and clients at all levels. (in-person and over the phone)
Strong understanding of the light industrial sector, including manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics specifically about compliance.
Exceptional interpersonal skills: The ability to build, maintain, and grow strong relationships.
Willingness to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.
A proven track record in a compliance role or similar.
